Student Success Statement

"Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless."
                                            -Mother Teresa

I think this quote means that if you say something nice it won't just vanish it will stay with everyone for all eternity. If you say something nice it will stay with them forever and ever. For example say you said something nice to your friend it just won't go away it will stay in their hearts and minds forever. So try to say the nicest thing possible so you can stay on their on forever and ever.

Student Success Statement

" The best way to predict your future is to create it."
                     Charles Ketterer

I think this quote means that instead of imaging your goal you should make it happen. You should do everything in your power to make your dream come true. Some people may imagine there future but the good ones are making their  future a reality. For example "if you want good grades you should make it happen instead of imaging it." You should always make your dream a reality instead of a dream.

STUDENT SUCCESS STATEMENT

"Be cool in school-live every rule."

I think this quote is very knowledgeable because you must take every rule very seriously. You should take rules seriously because if you don't you will get punished. For example" If you follow all the rules you will be a model student but if you don't you will be CTW."
                                                             Reflection on assembly

I think the assembly on friday was very entertaining. The plays that the teachers did were very real because kids actually do that. When i found out the teachers were a play i thought it was going to be a boring performance. But the teachers made it funny and very knowledgeable.

Glenn Cunningham

Glenn Cunningham was born on August 4, 1909 and he died March of 1988. He was born Atlanta, Kansas, but grew up in elkhart, Kansas. At age eight he got in an explosion when someone put gasoline instead of kerosene in the can at his school house. The explosion took his brothers life. The doctors recommended amputating his legs but his parents wouldn't let them. The doctors predicted that he was never going to walk again. He had lost all the flesh on his knees and shins and all the toes on his left foot were gone, his transverse arc was also destroyed. Through a new type of therapy and his determination he was able to regain the ability to walk and also to run. Cunningham was nicknamed the "Kansas Flyer". He competed in the 1932 summer olympics and in the 1936 summer olympics.
