Duties and Responsibilities:
A clinical manager is responsible for overseeing the medical
and administrative operations of clinics and other medical facilities, and for
supervising both clinical and administrative staff. The role of clinical manager is similar to
that of a practice administrator, but it includes recruitment, supervision, and
evaluation of medical staff such as physicians, nurses, and orderlies as well
as administrative employees such as billing clerks and medical coders.

Education:
The position of clinical manager generally requires at least
a bachelor’s degree in a field related to medical administration or health care
administration. A clinical director should also have several years of
experience working in a medical environment such as a clinic or doctor’s
office. People in clinical management or
directorial positions generally work in the facilities they supervise, where they
can observe procedures, interact with patients, and address staff concerns when
needed.
