                Student Success Statement
“Nothing in the world can take the place of PERSISTNECE
Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent
GENIUS will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts
Persistence and Determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press ON ‘ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”
                                                                -President Calvin Coolidge
                                                                30th president of US (1872-1933)

I believe this quote means that you should never give up and that even if they tell you your bad at something that means you should just try harder. So if someone tells you your bad at something don’t mope around, get out there and practice as much as you can because persistence tops everything. Persistence will always tops everything so you need persistence and lots of it.

                        Student Success Statement

The answers to these questions will determine your success or failure:

1.     Can people trust me to do what’s right?
2.     Am I committed to doing my very best?
3.     Do I treat people the way I want to be treated?
If you answers to these question are YES, there is no way you can fail”
-Lou Holtz

I believe that this statement by this very accomplished man is true because if you do all what the questions are asking you, you should be a very successful person. If you answered yes to only one question than you will not become successful you need to say  yes to all of the questions not only one. In conclusion if you do everything these questions are asking you will become very successful.

“Never look to the ground for your next step. Greatness belongs to those who look to the horizon”
-Bud Greenspan

I believe this quote means that if you keep on looking forward you will achieve greatness. If you look to the ground you may not achieve greatness you will stumble and fall. If you also you behind you, you will never move on you will on see what happened in the past. So the most important thing is to always look to the horizon because that is where greatness will wait for you. If you don’t look to the ground or behind you.

John F. Kennedy’s video summary

What this video was explaining that it is very important to be physically fit. He said that we should all exercise to be in a physically fit form. He also told us to be in good health. What I promise to do to be physically healthy is to sleep if you don’t get enough sleep your body get deprived of energy and won’t be able to function as well. Another thing I promise to do is to join a sport and exercise at home so I get double the exercise when some people don’t.

“ Physical fitness is not only one of the body most important keys to a healthy body it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. The relationship between the soundness of the body and the activities of the mind is subtle and complex. Much is not yet understood. But we do know what the Greeks knew: that intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong.” – President John F. Kennedy
Reflection:

I believe this quote means that you need to physically healthy for your body to work at it’s peak. If your body isn’t physically healthy than you won’t want to do anything and just mope around the entire day. You need to be healthy because if your not you won’t get anything done and that’s a day you just wasted. So in conclusion your body needs to be physically healthy for you to be at your peak.

”No student ever attains eminent success by simply doing what is required of him; it is the amount and         excellence of what is over and above the required that determines the greatness of ultimate distinction”            – Charles Kendall Adams, American Historian
I believe this quote means that no one gained success just by doing the bare minimum you must be willing to go beyond what is necessary and go to the land of greatness. You must go to great lengths to achieve greatness. No one can achieve greatness if all they do is the bare minimum. You must excel past the land of bare minimum because if you don’t you will never achieve greatness.

“Doing what is right, fair and honorable is more important than winning or losing”
                                                                                -Chick Moorman

I believe this quote means that if you don’t win the game but the person cheated the really didn't win the game. If you come in last but you played the game fair and square than you have won in the game of life. For example if you try out for a team but you don’t get it and someone who was cheating did you are still winning in the game of life. So always do things by the book no cheating because you will win in the game of life.
